Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that they have apprehended four persons Along with Heroin in Udhampur district.
In a handout to GNS, the police said that a 0olice team from Police Post Tikri led by its ICPP while performing routine vehicle checking at Tikri naka point, NHW recovered 71.95 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance from 04 narco smugglers who were travelling in a vehicle bearing Registeration No. JK15C-2964 which was on its way from Jammu towards Srinagar, who have been arrested.
The police spokesman identified the arrested persons as Mohd. Younis Malla S/O Mohd Yaqoob.Malla R/O Shilvat, Bandipora.(Driver), Wahid Maqbool S/O Mohd. Maqbool Mir R/O Sumbal, Bandipora, Qaiser Ahmed Ganie S/O Nisar Ahmed R/O Arampora Sumbal, Bandipora and Ahmed Ganie S/O Ghulam Nabi Mir R/O Shilvat Sumbal, Bandipora.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 117/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation is going on, reads the statement. (GNS)
