Srinagar: The 26th death anniversary of Late Mohd Jabar Mir, former MLA of Wachi constituency, was observed with solemnity at his ancestral residence in Zainapora on Monday.
Hundreds of people, including political colleagues, friends and well-wishers, gathered to pay their respects. The commemoration began with special prayers (Dua) for the departed soul and was marked by emotional recollections of Mir’s legacy.
Speakers on the occasion hailed him as a leader of principles and compassion, who devoted his life to the welfare of the people of Shopian and Wachi. They highlighted his role in the socio-political upliftment of the region and his unwavering commitment to public service.
