- Anantnag, April 09, n a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Anantnag Police have attached both movable and immovable assets belonging to an alleged drug peddler under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act.
The attached assets include a single-storeyed residential house and an i20 Sports vehicle (registration number JK03G-2416), with a combined estimated market value of approximately ₹80 lakh. The property belongs to Imran Ahmad Wani, son of Gulzar Ahmad Wani, a resident of Shalgam Srigufwara.
The accused is linked to FIR No. 17/2021 registered at Police Station Srigufwara under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. Officials stated that the action is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle networks involved in illegal narcotics trade and to combat drug abuse in the region.
Anantnag Police reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying the fight against drug-related activities. They also urged the public to cooperate and share any information that could assist in eliminating the drug menace and ensuring a safer society.
