Anantnag, 05 May :In continuation of the ongoing drive against the illegal sale, misuse, and diversion of medicines, Anantnag Police, in coordination with the concerned officials of the Drug Control Department, conducted an inspection of medical establishments in the jurisdiction of Police Station Aishmuqam.
During the inspection, discrepancies and irregularities were detected in the maintenance of mandatory records and stock registers of the following medical stores operating at Arigohal:
▪︎ Ibaad Medicate Chemists and Druggists, Arigohal
▪︎Bilal Raina Medicate, Arigohal
▪︎Ganie Medical Store, Arigohal
In view of the violations noticed during inspection, all the above-mentioned medical stores were sealed on the spot by the competent authorities as per the provisions of law, pending further inquiry and legal proceedings.
Anantnag Police, in close
coordination with line departments, continues to keep strict vigil against unlawful sale, stocking, or misuse of pharmaceutical and controlled substances, and reiterates its commitment towards safeguarding public health and curbing substance abuse.
