Pulwama, Dec 11, : Dr M Yousuf Tak, a consultant in pain and regenerative medicine and founder of Oxyplus Pain and Ozone Clinic, was felicitated in New Delhi on the eve of World Human Rights Day for what organisers described as his notable contribution to non-surgical pain management and community healthcare.
Dr Tak, who holds MBBS, MD, FIPM and Acu (Colombo) qualifications, is regarded as one of the early practitioners of ozone-based therapies in Jammu and Kashmir. He established the region’s first dedicated Ozone Therapy Centre, introducing minimally invasive options for patients dealing with chronic knee, neck, back and other degenerative conditions.
Colleagues in the medical fraternity say his work has expanded access to regenerative therapies that were previously unavailable in many parts of the region. Dr Tak is also known for providing low-cost or free treatment to financially underprivileged patients, an initiative that has drawn appreciation from civil society groups advocating equitable healthcare.
Under his leadership, Oxyplus Pain and Ozone Clinic has developed into a specialised centre offering alternatives to conventional surgical interventions. Patients have credited the facility with improving mobility and quality of life after long periods of chronic discomfort.
The felicitation in New Delhi acknowledged Dr Tak’s clinical work as well as his commitment to patient welfare and outreach efforts aimed at making advanced therapies accessible. [KNT]
