Anantnag, Feb 24, 2025 – In a swift and compassionate response, the Government Railway Police Station (GRPS) Anantnag successfully rescued a minor girl and reunited her with her family.

Upon receiving information, the GRPS Anantnag team, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), promptly intercepted the girl—name withheld—daughter of Showket Ahmed, a resident of Krankshovan, Sopore. She was traveling alone from Banihal towards Sopore after being inadvertently separated from her father, who was unable to board the train at Banihal.

The vigilant personnel of RPF and GRPS Anantnag deboarded the child safely at Anantnag Railway Station. After establishing contact with her father, she was handed over to him following the necessary legal formalities.

Railway Police Kashmir remains steadfast in its commitment to serving society and ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
