Anantnag; 08 July :In continuation of the intensive security oversight for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, SSP Anantnag, Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, conducted a comprehensive visit to the Zojibal sector to review the security architecture, emergency preparedness, and overall management of the Yatra.
During the visit, the SSP chaired a high-level review meeting with the Camp Director, senior police officers, and representatives of various civil departments. A detailed assessment of the prevailing security scenario, deployment patterns, inter-departmental coordination, emergency response mechanisms, and pilgrim facilitation measures was undertaken. Directions were issued to all stakeholders to maintain seamless coordination, ensure prompt response to any contingency, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism throughout the Yatra.
The SSP also interacted with Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris, personally enquiring about their well-being and travel experience. He assured the pilgrims that Anantnag Police, in close coordination with all allied agencies, remains fully committed to providing a secure, peaceful, and hassle-free pilgrimage. The yatris expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the police and civil administration.
As part of the visit, the SSP carried out a detailed inspection of the Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs) and SDRF personnel deployed at Zojibal. He reviewed their operational preparedness, rescue equipment, medical support, and emergency response capabilities, directing the teams to remain in a constant state of readiness to effectively respond to any emergency and extend immediate assistance to pilgrims.
