ANANTNAG, 21 March : As a matter of pride at National level, Dr Showkat Hussain Tali from GMC Anantnag has been selected by India Academy of Pediatrics as PED X speaker. Dr Tali Who is the Head of the Department of Pediatrics and also the Head of Family Medicine GMC Anantnag has become the first Pediatrician from Jammu and Kashmir and one of the first few Pediatricians of the Union of India to be selected for this prestigious honour.
PED X is modelled on the world famous TED X Talks. Dr Tali will be delivering his talk at Young Pediatrician Conclave- Emerging Leader programme to be held at Bangaluru in the third week of March 20025. Dr Tali will deliver a speech on; The super Hero Syndrome: Avoiding Burnout and Promoting wellness in Pediatric Leaders.
After inviting applications from 100 nominated candidates from across the country, 70 were finally selected for the conclave. Out of the selected candidates Dr Tali has been shortlisted for the Prestigious PED X talk by IAP, the leading academic pediatric body of the country. A recorded version of the talk will be shared by the body on the official social Media sites and will also be made viral in various academic groups of the country for wider and global coverage.
Principal and Dean of GMC Anantnag Prof Dr Rukhsana Najeeb congratulated Dr Tali for getting selected as PED X speaker for the prestigious Young Pediatrician Conclave – Emerging Leadership Programme and hoped that he will bring more laurels for the college in future as well.
