Srinagar, May 13, KNT: Personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed on Road Opening Party (ROP) duty along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway helped save the life of a driver who reportedly suffered a heart attack near Subhanpora in south Kashmir.
Officials said the driver suddenly stopped his vehicle after experiencing severe discomfort while traveling on the highway. CRPF personnel present on duty immediately rushed to assist him and provided emergency first aid at the spot.
According to officials, the jawans pressed the driver’s chest and administered first aid medicines during the crucial “golden hour” before shifting him to Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara for further treatment.
Doctors at the hospital later confirmed that the driver’s condition had stabilized and that he had recovered after receiving timely medical assistance.
Commanding Officer of 90 Battalion CRPF, Kamlen Pratap Singh, said the personnel only performed their duty and expressed satisfaction over saving a human life.
“It was our duty and we are happy that a precious human life was saved,” he said.
